About DABA

The Durham Amateur Basketball Association was created in 2015 as a way to get young basketball enthusiasts together and play in a laid-back, care-free environment. DABA is a non-profit organization who's goal is to provide fun and competitive games to players while maintaining the relaxed attitude of organized pick up. The teams do not have any coaches and are player lead. Scorekeeping and officiating is also left up to players who would like to volunteer. In the end, the core values of our league is to have fun and play great basketball.

What makes DABA unique?

There are plenty of basketball leagues out there, so why select DABA? What separates us is our commitment to the experience. Our entire organization is dedicated to the player. We want to give them a unique, immersive game surrounded by people who are playing for one reason -- the love for the sport. The game is as competitive as the player wants, and with our large and experienced social media staff, all players will have the ability to view their pictures and highlights on our accounts. When you walk out on the court you get a sensation only DABA can offer, and we want everyone to have that experience.
